VENTURE ARTs, MANCHESTER

Venture Arts is a progressive visual arts charity, working alongside neurodivergent and learning disabled artists to create and showcase exciting new contemporary visual art.

For over 30 years, Venture Arts has been supporting neurodiverse and learning disabled people to reach their life potential through the visual arts. Our Hulme art studio is open 6 days a week all year round, and we work with around 100 in-house artists each year plus many more through outreach.

At our vibrant, productive studio, our professional artist facilitators support people to make great art, develop skills, realise their ambitions and feel positive and valued. We also create paid opportunities for our artists, including selling their work, commissions, curating and giving talks. Each year several of our artists co-deliver workshops for children in schools, and many take part in supported volunteer placements for in museums, galleries and theatres. These help to break down barriers to culture and employment and enables others to fully appreciate and recognise the benefits to the cultural workplace of inclusion of diverse members of our communities.
